Weapons (Bokken and Jo)
Bokkendo and Jodo
The terms 'bokkendo' and 'jodo' refer to practice with the bokken (wooden sword) and jo (wooden staff). We study kata (pre-arranged series of movements) with both weapons. Beginning with basic bokken and jo handling exercises, students advance to more complex solo and paired kata.
